We are looking for anInstrumentation andControls Engineerto work in our Rhome, TX facility. This role will manage electrical projects for the specification, design, and installation of new equipment for new projects that will support our growth plans. The person in this role must effectively communicate with a cross-disciplinary Engineering Team, and coordinate with our Operations and Maintenance Teams to provide solutions and improvements across American Sites.
Key Responsibilities
Repair and troubleshoot existing PLC programmingSpecify, design, program, and commission process control systemsAnalyze plant processes, design and implement improvementsSupport the selection, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and instrumentation equipment.Provide support and technical evaluation for the purchase of capital equipmentEnsure that systems are electrically and mechanically safeWork with others to detect problems and implement solutionsDevelop and provide training for site staffCoordinate with Operations and Maintenance Teams to maintain equipment and minimize downtimeMaintain quality and safety standardsEvaluate equipment and make recommendations on needed maintenanceOther duties as reasonably assignedExperience, Knowledge, and Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering3-5 years or more of experience in a related fieldPLC programming experience preferably Allen BradleyExperience in using AutoCAD or similar drawing packageStrong cause-effect analytical abilities to solve problems. Excellent communication skillsBroad computer programming experience desiredExperience in managing electrical projects from concept to delivery preferredContractor management experience preferredAbility to read PandID drawings preferredWhy A-Gas?
Pay will be commensurate with experience. The targeted salary range is between $75,000 - $100,000 and this role is eligible for the Employee Incentive Program.
