Summary About the Position: This position is located at the Department of Defense Education Activity, Europe West District, Brussels, Belgium. Federal employees in Brussels, Belgium are currently entitled to receive a 42% Post Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. Responsibilities Serve as the District Student Information Systems (SIS) Subject Matter Expert for SIS program modules. Analyze the district SIS program modules/software for compliance with current information systems standards/practices. Educate staff and students in using the SIS programs available. Monitor SIS projects for overall success (meeting timelines, goals, cohesion with District strategies, etc.). Communicate needs/progress of the SIS program(s) with district and agency leadership. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of specialized experience working with Student Information Systems (SIS). Examples of acceptable specialized SIS experience include: Experience in collecting, managing, extracting and analyzing data for the support and evaluation of school education programs; experience developing reports, filters, queries, etc. and retrieving and presenting data from data management systems; experience working cooperatively with others by serving as the subject matter expert for all SIS program modules and other management information systems; experience training and supporting educational managers, teachers, etc. in the use of data management systems, including registration, scheduling, attendance, and grading systems. Professional Licensure/Certification Requirement: Applicants must be currently certified or certifiable under the current DoDEA standards in any PreK-12th grade endorsement area. The work may be evaluated by the graduate division of a regionally accredited university and declared the equivalent of similar undergraduate or graduate work in a U.S. institution. Graduates of non-accredited institutions may have their undergraduate work validated by admittance to graduate school and completion of a minimum of 5 SH of credit in a regionally accredited graduate college.
