OBJECTIVES/PURPOSE
Supports the BioLife Plasma Centers, BioLife Headquarters and Training Departments in the achievement of BioLife training initiatives; while maintaining compliance with regulatory and quality requirements.
Responsible for designing, developing, reviewing, and revising training content and performance qualification metrics, along with learning solutions that builds core, common and critical skills across the network.
Require application of instructional design theory and process to create a variety of learning solutions that improve business results.
Collaborates and supports center trainers through various training methods (facilitation, eLearning creation, metrics, BTTP).
Responsible for ensuring initiatives meet/exceed key customer requirements through appropriate evaluation systems and analysis of metrics.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Utilize instructional design principles or models (e.g. ADDIE, DIDOV, etc.) to manage the course development process for new and existing training content. (60%)
Create and revise design documents that specify learning objectives, learning strategies, learning materials design specifications, measures of student learning, skill application and learning impact (e.g., business results)
Create storyboards, scripts, and design course content (including simulations and blended solutions) and learner instructions for e-Learning solutions.
Design, develop, and author interactive and engaging instructional materials with assessments and simulations using a variety of tools and applications to include, audio, video, animation, narrated presentations, podcasts, webcasts, simulations, and virtual learning environments.
Consults with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify job tasks and knowledge/performance gaps.
Revise BTTP documents according to feedback and SOP revisions: (15%)
Evaluate the effectiveness of learning solutions and use evaluation data to support the learning and development continuous improvement process. (10%)
Plans, organizes, and completes projects in the most efficient manner. (5%)
Conduct periodic reviews of learning materials and use learner feedback to determine if quality guidelines and desired learning outcomes have been met. (5%)
Track and trend training/qualification performance. (5%)
Fosters teamwork. Works collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals.

Demonstrated experience in partnering with business/organizational leaders, learning consultants, and facilitators to translate business objectives into effective learning interventions.
Ability to effectively research, review, and process technical information for training design purposes
Ability to effectively organize work, prioritize and manage time in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Monitor and maintain assigned content of various training systems (e.g. LMS, Veeva).
Demonstrated experience working with many instructional technology design tools (e.g. Photoshop, Articulate, Captivate, Storyline 2, etc.)
Knowledge and demonstrated understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design principles and full knowledge of the ADDIE process.
Ensures high levels of customer service and satisfaction. Meets and strives to exceed customer expectations.
Ability to comprehend, communicate, interpret and apply technical documents and instructions.
Ability to facilitate and engage audience members in person and via distance; to drive knowledge transfer and key behavioral changes.
Extensive knowledge of current and future instructional design technologies
Knowledge of audio and video production methods and equipment
Working knowledge of MS Office package (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
Ability to travel domestically no more than 5% of the time.
May require extended work periods to meet deadlines and business needs.

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in instructional design, adult learning, instructional technology, instructional systems, educational technology, or related field. Minimum of two years’ experience in instructional design or instructional technology, and experience in all phases of instructional design.
Desired: Prior experience in designing classroom, print and multimedia training
