DEERFIELD \$1,000 SIGN ON BONUS Institutional Locksmith DeerfieldAcademy is an independent secondary school committed to high standardsof scholarship, citizenship, and personal responsibility. Currently weare searching for an institutional locksmith to work on our beautifulcampus. The institutional locksmith performs locksmithing and accesscontrol duties as needed or directed, operating effectively inconjunction with Deerfield Academy\'s Security team and the otherconstruction trades to ensure smooth operations to secure campus.Responsibilities: Perform institutional locksmith installation,maintenance and repair doors and hardware and assist with newconstruction to enhance academy properties in a safe, efficient andorganized manner; Maintain detailed recordkeeping of all aspects ofkeying to ensure accurate and available historical information,including records of all keys issued to employees and students; Manageaccess control systems to ensure smooth daily operation and maintainrecords related to the system. Collaborate with Security team fordiscovery of maintenance needs, collaborate with Security and ITS teamsfor assistance with system troubleshooting, scheduling, and/orprogramming Oversee and set up in collaboration with the Student LifeOffice issuing and collecting student keys as well as access control atthe opening and close of each school year and maintain records of such;Oversee the changes in access control throughout the school year asrequested by the Student Life Office, Athletics Department, EventsManager, and Security team. Collaborate with Director of Security toreview requests that have institutional safety considerations; Asrequested, assist Capital Projects Manager(s) to offer input onselection of door hardware, locks, and access control hardware for allconstruction projects; Follow established protocol for work requests andcompletion of tasks as requested to ensure consistency and work ordertracking. Respond to requests in a timely and efficient manner; Attendall Safety Program training, comply with all Academy Safety Programpolicies and procedures while performing job duties, both on and offAcademy property, and utilize required Personal Protective Equipment(PPE) The successful candidate will have a high school diploma orequivalent, with 5 years of related experience in all aspects ofInstitutional Locksmithing and physical security. Must have valid lowvoltage Massachusetts Electrical License and a valid Driver\'s License.Candidates should have knowledge of access control systems and largemaster key systems utilizing FSIC and SFIC, building construction andassociated code; a high level of familiarity with computer operatingsystems and security related software is essential. The ability to makeobservations and recommendations regarding access control of campusstructures and doors and hardware and facilities and troubleshootproblems; good interpersonal skills, and the ability to keep detailedand current records **SIGN-ON BONUS** The successful candidate willreceive a \$1,000 sign-on bonus (\$500 paid at time of hire and \$500paid at the end of 90 days of employment.
