  Job Description

  AECOM is currently seeking a well experienced Inspector to support ongoing projects located within the New York Metro locations.

  Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  Serves as technical expert in field inspections ad audits, recognized as the 'go-to' expert internally and externally

  Provides guiding direction for inspections on engagements.

  Sets direction and goals for inspection and/or business line.

  External spokesperson on technical project issues.

  Leads the audit strategy for individual's area of expertise.

  Key point of contact for engagements and member of AECOM senior leadership team.

  In Addition, this candidate will be assigned as the Quality Manager on a large Transit/Rail PMC/CM Contract with the following assignments and duties:

  Reviews Quality Management Plan

  Performs daily site quality inspections and daily reports for all site visits

  Prepares monthly contract quality reports and supports contractor quality evaluations

  Role is primarily based in the field. Shift work and weekend work required

  Observes/documents the quality of the Contractor’s work to ensure conformance with contract documents

  Tracks field changes

  Tracks quality control records as directed

  Identifies potential coordination and quality issues and raises appropriately

  Assists in reviews of contract and shop drawings as requested

  Qualifications

  Minimum Requirements:

  High School Diploma plus 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and or education

  Valid US driviers license

  Due to the nature of the projects a US Citizenship is required

  Preferred Requirements:

  Five years of experience with a railroad and/or rail transit agency

  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  Non-Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (New York, NY locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range for this position is $48 - $89/hr.
