NDT Level III will be primarily responsible for computed X-ray tomography (CT) inspection and will be the key contact person for techniques, evaluations and certifications for the GE Aerospace Additive Technology Center and Additive Integrated Product Team. You will review all NDT related specifications for internal, customer, and industry standard specifications. Keep updated on all changes or modifications to such specifications. You will also lead efforts related to non-destructive evaluation of anomalies to define, identify, and analyze root cause and institute corrective action and system mistake proofing methodologies.

Roles and Responsibilities
Qualification training, testing and periodic over-reading of Level II inspectors in Radiography/ COMPUTED X-RAY TOMOGRAPHY (CT) INSPECTION.
Read, interpret, and apply customer and industry standards related to NDT methodology and other general specifications.
NDT Procedure, technique and revision development, internal auditing, problem solving.
Establish initial and recurrent training programs for Penetrant and Radiography inspectors.
Conduct NDE audits to ensure site certification maintenance program compliance
Act as the customer, certifier, auditor and site interface for NDT or other product quality topics.
Administers and maintains NDT/X-Ray qualification program for Level II and III NDT personnel.
Work with the site Quality Leader to ensure that NDT inspections are scheduled and assigned appropriately.
Maintain equipment and assures calibration for tests to be performed.
Approve NDT procedures and work instructions for technical adequacy.
Comply with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
Work with other business unit L3’s/CA’s to perfect standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of inspection technology and processes experience)
Minimum of 3 years of inspection technology and processes experience
Certifying Agent in COMPUTED X-RAY TOMOGRAPHY (CT) INSPECTION- Must be willing to obtain within 12-24 months of employment (or as specified by manager, relevant certify agent(s) conducting training and/or company or industry standard training program).
Desired Characteristics
CT Computed Tomography level II or Level III
ASNT trained certified Level III in Radiography Per NAS 410 aerospace standards
Degree in engineering/technical field
X-Ray Certification
Knowledge of Avizo Clue, Volume Graphics software
Radiation Safety Officer
Experience inspecting aviation, aerospace or additive hardware
Capable of assuming technical responsibility for the NDT facility and staff.
Capable of selecting the method and technique for a specific inspection, preparing, and verifying the adequacy of procedures and work instructions.
