Position Description

　　Applied Materials, Inc. – the leader in materials engineering solutions used to produce virtually every new chip and advanced display in the world – has an exciting opportunity to join a world class IP Risk Management Team. This position will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that works collaboratively within Legal and jointly with the Information Security, Human Resources, Business Unit, and Corporate Services teams to support a wide range of investigations, compliance, and IP risk management initiatives.

　　This position will report directly to the Insider Risk Program Manager and support the organization in mitigating insider risk activities across the ecosystem. Responsibilities for this position include insider threat analysis, assessing tool/logs to determine risk level and elevation required, supporting investigations, playbook development, and lessons learned identification. This candidate will also help support the team on multiple strategic level projects related to IP risk management and compliance.

　　This position requires strong analytic capabilities, technical & communication skills, and creativity, as well as the ability to follow industry best practices..

　　Major Areas of Responsibility

　　Significantly contribute to a global team that conducts insider risk investigations for legal and corporate matters using industry leading technology.

　　Qualifications

　　Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Criminal Justice, Intelligence or other related field from an accredited university and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in computer forensics, high-tech crime investigations, intelligence analysis, insider threat analysis / investigations, or IP risk management

　　Strong understanding of the intelligence lifecycle, Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) gathering techniques / analysis, and indicators associated with insider threats

　　A proven track record in intelligence analysis, IP risk management, or supporting investigations related to insider threat – preferably in an international environment or at a global company

　　Experience with utilizing SIEM / UEBA tools and reviewing various technical logs, including data loss prevention (DLP), firewall / web, and others

　　Proficiency with analytic tools and a working knowledge of how they apply to insider threat detection and investigation

　　Excellent communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate and visually present on complex subject matters and analysis results, and the talent to draft concise reports for the intended audience in layman’s terms

　　Strong attention to detail, concern for data accuracy, and high personal integrity

　　Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team

　　APAC foreign language skills are a plus

　　Desired Qualifications

　　Working knowledge of Open Source tools and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) gathering techniques

　　Prior experience working with confidential / sensitive information

　　Familiarity with cybersecurity, networking, internet fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, Internet peering, DNS), digital forensics, and various technical methods of data exfiltration

　　Experience with using Excel or SQL for analysis of complex datasets a plus

　　Experience with developing PowerPoint presentations a plus

　　Experience with diligence, compliance and/or audit programs a plus

　　Information security, digital forensics, insider threat, or other related certifications preferred

　　U.S. Salary Range:

　　$112,000.00 - $154,000.00

　　The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

　　For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
