As our account manager you will leverage Messer LLC's resources and processes to disqualify the competitive alternatives. Your primary responsibility will be to attain gross profit growth year on year by increasing revenue and profitability. You will:Increase territory profitability and revenue through in depth understanding of territoryMaintain overall territory business strategy to proactively plan and measure successManage an existing portfolio of clients and related agreementsDevelop New Customer relationships and negotiate new agreementsManage price and cost recovery across the businessProspecting from multiple sources to develop new businessProspect and generate leads to develop new business, including a blend of cold calls, trade show, internal/external sources and additional use with existing customersAllocate time to network, qualify and follow up on leadsEngage Messer's Industry experts to identify and create value added solutionsDeep Customer & Competitor InsightUnderstand customer values/priorities, business issues, and economic factorsAccurately identifies prospect/customer account influencers and decision makers across sales process and records decision maker
Qualifications:Selling skills and negotiations, problem solving, written and oral communication, customer relationship management, planning and organizingIn lieu of bachelor's degree, HS and 5 years' experience in Customer Care, IS, Sales or equivalentPrior industrial/sales/commercial experience in gas industry, chemical/other manufacturing desired or a graduateExcellent phone, customer focus, and negotiation skills essential, as well as the ability to build rapport and probe for information over the telephone.Strong business and financial acumen; proficient presentation skills, and sound planning and organizing skills essential,Must be self-starter, accountable, goal and achievement driven and able to perform through self and as part of a teamDetail orientated with superior time management skills.PC skills required including CRM/CRM equivalent, MS Office with Excel and PowerPointAbout Messer:
