Basic Job Functions:
PURPOSE:Assist in sales functions including, but not limited to, interfacing with customers on telephone inquiries, pricing, sales proposals and preparing contract documents.
BASIC FUNCTIONS Must adhere to Harris Rebars safety programs and standards. Demonstrate conduct consistent with Harris Rebars vision and values. Manage bid/Dodge lists daily; print Dodge reports; review selected Dodge reports, incoming transmittals and plans from customers; track the assignment of bids to estimators. Process retail sales orders through the computer system discussing retail sales order with customers, providing pricing information and soliciting the order by making sure the immediate needs of the customers are met. Assist in the preparation of sales bids and project quotations with estimator/sales staff. Assist in follow-up on jobs that have been quoted by contacting the customer to determine the status of the job. (i.e. Has it been awarded? If not, was the quotation acceptable?) Prepare the contract routing sheet for jobs secured, enter it into the computer system and distribute it to the detailers to ensure they have the information (e.g. any special request by the customer) needed to meet the customers needs. Act as a back-up and provide assistance to other members of the sales support team. Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
High school diploma, GED or state/local equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
Two year technical degree from an accredited school or college
Previous construction experience
