About the Role
This position would support the office of Magna Technology Ventures in finding, monitoring, researching, and potentially investing in startup companies related to the future of the automotive industry.
Your Responsibilities
Researching Startup companies and corresponding technologies globally.
Materially contribute to investing and partnering with startup companies around the globe that help to advance Magna's strategy.
Develop market maps, research new areas of technology or business model innovations, and conduct extensive diligence on potential new investments.
Advanced research prior to an event or conference on attendees, companies of interest, etc.
Researching Venture Capital firms globally and creating a database
Who we are looking for
• Legitimate interest in new technology areas and the ability to research and learn independently
• Massively intellectually curious
• Organized
• Both a technical (hardware or software) and finance background is ideal - strong in one is required
Your preferred qualifications
• Junior or Senior University student
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong written and verbal Professional Communication skills
• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.
