SEEKING IT SPECIALIST FOR SMALL COMPANY LOOKING FOR A GO-TO IT TECH - MAINLY HELP DESK/DESKTOP SUPPORT
Description:
They have their IT support outsourced but are frustrated with the cost and lack of attention they are getting. Additionally, there are several tasks that they still must do in-house, like installing custom software, that the MSP won’t do.
Most of their infrastructure is cloud based (Azure, M365, SharePoint, Intune) with nothing on-prem other than switching and routing for internet access, wireless access points. They do have some niche software they use for accounting and project work called Foundation that is cloud based as well.
This role would:
• Big project coming up – They are owned by a company Australia and they are looking to move their company under one tenant.
• Acquire and configure laptops and tablets.
• Manage cloud services including security.
• Provide Tech support for all of the offices and the field
o 30-40 Office based staff on laptops, only about 10 of them in Lees Summit.
o Have 2 offices in Texas and 1 in South Carolina
o 180-ish Field crew, but only about ½ of those have tablets.
• 100% on site – Once they are settled after several months they will likely get 1 set remote day.
• Minimal travel, most of it is remote support but will need to be open to traveling to one of their other locations if there is an emergency.
• Be the IT presence on any projects needing IT support.
• Need to be a self starter – find work to do and propose it to leadership. They may be given some non-IT work as well to fill their time. “Other duties as assigned”
• Communication and personality fit. (They’re going to be dealing with railroad construction workers, all the way up to the CEO
• Report to Nola Brownlee who is CFO, or her accounting manager.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus – Not needed though

• Possess a high attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines and to work independently as well as part of the team and with a wide variety of people.
• Must be a self starter who will take initiative when something needs done
