LinQuest is seeking an Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team in our El Segundo, CA, Herndon, VA or Colorado Springs, CO office. This internship will span from June 2024, through August 2024, with the potential to go part time past this period.
This position will provide the candidate with an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced, innovative, and focused Information Technology (IT) team. In this role the candidate will gain exposure to multiple aspects of a modern and agile IT organization to include cybersecurity, helpdesk, business applications, networking, servers and storage, and cloud.
Responsibilities:
Providing technical support to LinQuest team members utilizing Microsoft Windows, Mac
Audit IT equipment and help maintain IT inventory system, tasks include help retire old equipment, tag and add new equipment to the inventory system
Reviewing/analyzing/documenting system requirements, configurations, and architectures
Utilizing standard office productivity tools to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Working hands on with laptops and accessories (SSDs, RAM, cameras, etc.)
Dissemble computers to add or remove hardware components, may require testing functionalities
Installing Operating Systems and imaging computer systems using internal processes
Learning how to interpret a wide variety of event data such as anti-malware, domain name service (DNS), Windows event logs, web activity and general automated security alerts and make assessments of observed information
Required Skills and Experience
You must be a college student in good standing, enrolled in a 4-year university in your Senior year (preferably graduating in Summer 2024, Fall 2024 or Winter 2024)
Pursing a Bachelors degree in (Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or Engineering)
You must have a minimum college GPA requirement of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. If you are selected for an internship, you must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 after each completed semester/term
Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance is required to be considered for this position
Proficient with Microsoft Excel to include utilizing formulas, lookups, and multiple worksheets
Experience with Microsoft Windows, macOS
Desire to learn from experienced IT professionals
Strong interpersonal and communications skills
Analytical and detail oriented
