  L3Harris Communication Systems is seeking a candidate for Industrial Security Senior Associate and Communications Security (COMSEC) Custodian at the Broadband Communication Systems sector’s Carlsbad, CA facility. This is a multi-faceted security position requiring a qualified security professional supporting Industrial Security and COMSEC requirements. In this capacity, the Industrial Security Senior Associate is responsible for supporting the COMSEC Manager in the implementation, management, and execution of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16 (Control of Communications Security Material); and the Facility Security Officer for 32 CFR Part 117 (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual) and other applicable government regulations. The Industrial Security Senior Associate will work collaboratively, with flexibility, dedication, and an expectation of excellence required of a security professional while working and making decisions independently with general guidance and direction.

  Essentials Functions:

  Conduct internal self-inspections and assist with DCSA Security Vulnerability Assessments

  Maintain classified material accountability records to include inventory lists, receipt and transmittal records and final disposition documentation.

  Possess working knowledge in the preparation and maintenance of DD254s.

  Process incoming and outgoing classified visit certifications

  Ensure all classified materials are marked and controlled in accordance with contractual requirements.

  Interpret and implement security classification guidance.

  Investigate and document security incidents, recommend corrective actions.

  Maintain DCSA Form 147s to establish/update classified work areas, maintain necessary waiver/approval records.

  Develop/conduct formal initial and recurring security education and training.

  Assist the COMSEC Manager in management and oversight of the TDL COMSEC Account.

  Generate and maintain Incoming/Possession, Hand Receipt, Transfer, and Destruction transactions, as applicable, of Account holdings.

  Ensure required COMSEC safeguards are implemented.

  Perform COMSEC/CRYPTO briefs as required.

  Perform COMSEC inventories as required.

  Support in the establishment and maintenance of COMSEC storage areas.

  Support the processing of incoming/outgoing COMSEC material.

  Current DoD Top Secret security clearance is required; adjusticated and in-scopy US Government TS investigation.

  Basic Qualifications:

  Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience. Preferred Qualifications:

  Recent completion of NSA COMSEC Manager training.

  Minimum three years experience as a COMSEC Manager or COMSEC Custodian (Industry or DoD).

  Experience with the Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS) software, Simple Key Loaders (SKL), REAlly Simple Key Loaders (RASKL) and Tactical Key Loaders (TKL).

  Ability to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

  In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $64,000 - $119,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
