Sportsman Boats is looking for an Industrial Sewer / Seamstress that will be responsible for creating quality cushions for our premium boats. This involves cutting, measuring, sewing, ensuring the efficient manufacturing process of marine seating which includes fabricating, repairing and replacing seat upholstery as well as complete seat building duties. This department is a very close knit group and you'll be working in a family environment.  

　　What you will do:

　　Sewing machine setup (changing thread, bobbins, and needles as needed.)

　　Single needle prepping and joining

　　Create and cut patterns

　　Inspect cushions for defects, damage, or stains

　　Mark products, work pieces, or equipment with identifying information

　　Compare physical characteristics of materials or products to specifications or standards.

　　Maintain a safe and clean work environment

　　Execute additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

　　To be considered you must have:

　　Industrial sewing and or home sewing experience of one or more years required, must be able to pass sewing test

　　Must be able to make and read patterns and able to work with leather, vinyl and foam rubber

　　Knowledgeable in the areas of material cutting, sewing, upholstery, and foam assembly

　　Ability to work independently and as part of a team

　　Detail oriented, proactive and able to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision

　　Advanced verbal communication skills

　　Advanced time management and organizational skills

　　Ability to work in fast-paced environment

　　High School diploma or equivalent

　　Preferred Education and Experience:

　　Experience sewing vinyl or leather  in a fast paced manufacturing facility

　　Bilingual English/Spanish  

　　 PROTOTYPING EXPERIENCE is a plus
