In this role, you willassume multi-project responsibilities for full mechanical design includingHVAC/Exhaust, cleanroom design, plumbing, and process utility systems.Projects will be in advanced manufacturing and technology markets. This rolereports to an Engineering Manager who will also provide mentoring and trainingopportunities.Job Activities:Prepare accurate Mechanical HVAC system construction documents, drawings andspecifications for bidding and submittal review.Perform construction administration servicesPrepare preliminary schematics and final designs, calculations, equipmentselection and layoutMaintain project design budgets and schedules while pursuing qualityActively engage in and assume responsibility for code research and applicationInterface with other disciplines, clients, and contractorsCoordinate with other production staffSpecific Requirements include:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering5-15 years of experience in technically complex system designPE license, preferred, but not requiredStrong working knowledge of ICC model codes (Fire, Building,Mechanical, Plumbing)Experience with creating and interpreting P&IDsDesign experience relative to medium/large commercial and industrialfacilitiesExperience with Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office SuiteStrong team player in a multi-disciplinary environmentExcellent oral and written communications skillsAbility to contribute to several projects simultaneouslyAbility to travel occasionally to client sites in support of projectsExperience with high pressure steam and condensate systems preferredExperience with abatement exhaust systems preferredExperience with large hydronic systems preferredAbout Farnsworth GroupFarnsworth Group is an award winning, employee-owned engineering,architecture, and surveying firm with more than 500 employees located innearly 30 offices nationwide.
