Plaskolite is formerly known as Sheffield Plastics WAGE: HOURLYWORK HOURS: FULL-TIME, 12 HOUR SHIFT SIGN ON BONUS: \$2,000 -Paid throughout the first year of hire JOB FUNCTION/PURPOSE Thisposition is responsible for supporting and promoting all company goalsincluding an injury free work environment through safe work practices.In this capacity the incumbent will support the manufacturing processthrough the design, rebuild, and installation of extrusion equipment.The incumbent will also support the extrusion process throughtroubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing of the mechanical functionsof the extrusion process. This position requires regular teamwork withthe other maintenance team members as well interaction with otherdisciplines, unit managers and supervisors and process engineers. Theincumbent also has contact with outside vendors and suppliers.ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Troubleshoot, repair,maintain, and improve mechanical equipment and components. Thesecomponents may include pneumatic and hydraulic components; bearings andmounting systems; gearboxes and transmissions. - Perform basicmachining, millwright tasks, basic welding, and fabrication tasks. -Perform Preventive, Predictive, and Emergency Maintenance. - Participatein the development and coordination of engineering projects, includingdesign, procurement and installation of new equipment and modificationof existing equipment - Responsible for performing various maintenancetasks using the Maintenance Work Order System. QUALIFICATIONS: -Must have a high school diploma or equivalent with 5+ years ofexperience in a maintenance environment. - Preferred: Apprenticed in atechnical trade with 10 years\' experience in machine tool applications,performing industrial equipment repairs, and working with PM programs. -Must have the ability to read, understand, and update print. - Mustpossess a good understanding of computer and network fundamentals. -Basic understanding of preventative maintenance, and conditionmonitoring techniques. - Possess a good understanding for mechanicaldesign & operation, including hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes,lubrication, etc.
