JobSummary:
The Industrial Mechanic will report to the Maintenance Manager.Successful bidders will be accountable for health, safety and environmental issues related to this position.Install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot all types of mechanical equipment with a constant focus on improving equipment reliability through utilization of "MVP" and CRI techniquesUpon entry into department, work with experienced craftsmen to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for advancement.Assist as required with performing other activities as required by customer demand.This is for a night shift position. 6pm- 6am.
Job Responsibilities:Diagnoses complex equipment failures, troubleshoots for root cause, and develops solutions utilizing a scientific approach with at a minimum the following tools: prints, sketches, manuals, diagnostic equipment, etc... coupled with machinery and process knowledgeSafely dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and operates complex equipment using hand and power tools, cranes and hoists often involving complex rigging.Applies knowledge of mechanics, welding, pipefitting, hydraulics and other crafts and trades to efficiently repair or maintain complex equipment daily.Completes work in a timely manner, often without direct supervision. Ability to organize work for maximum efficiency. Ability to adjust work priorities based on plant needs and business requirements.
Required Education/Experience:A Mechanical Technical Degree or certificate equivalent with 1-year practical experience and/or 3-5 years of practical experience in an industrial setting is preferred but not requiredBidders will be required to take a written mechanical and welding assessmentParticipation in the Craft Academic Training Program is required.
Pay Range:$25.65- 37.70/ hour- Entry Level Rate Will be Based on Proof Testing & Applicable Experience
Shift:Every Other Weekend Off- Night Shift (6pm- 6am)
