JOB DESCRIPTION
Industrial Engineer, Logistics
We are looking for an Industrial Engineer, Logistics who will report to the Industrial Engineer Supervisor, and who'll be tasked with taking the lead on material transport optimization and packaging improvement projects . As part of your role, you'll be significantly improving the process in order to achieve maximum efficiency, optimize warehouse footprint and reduce external warehousing expenditures.
YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Improve inventory accuracy and reduce working capital expenses
Responsible for Project management of the Logistics related activities
Facility layout and design as well as modification of existing space
Analyze, optimize, and implement material manufacturing controls and logistics equipment
Maintain open communication, influence and interact with other departments for implementation
Support materials supply management and supervisors in continuous improvement projects
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field with sufficient experience
2+ year related experience in logistics, supply chain or manufacturing operations
Advanced working knowledge of MS office or Google Suite
Knowledge of computer-aided design tools such as AutoCAD or similar
Able to successfully manage a tight time-line project
Preferred:
Combination of experience in material handling automation, racking and warehouse management systems
Ability and interest to solve complex, interactive problems
Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices
Knowledge of transportation operations
Experience with SAP/CSI or similar systems
Power BI experience and/or data analysis experience
