POSITION: ICU Nursing Director

DUTIES:* Responsible for direction of patient care activities.* Manages staff in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Supports and empowersthem to embrace the mission, vision, and value statement of the hospital.* Provides management of operational and nursing activities.* Consults staff, physicians, and Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) onnursing needs and interpretation of facility policies to ensure patient needsare being met.* Maintains performance improvement activities with the department andparticipates in quality improvement activities.* Maintains records pertinent to personnel and operations of the department.Prepares reports regarding services, i.e. utilization, performanceimprovement, outcome data, productivity, including long-term capitalbudget and short-term operational budget.* Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and withother ancillary departments.* Performs management activities including interviewing, hiring,evaluating, termination, Nursing Education (ED) Day completion anddepartmental staffing and scheduling.* Develops, justifies, and maintains fiscal budget.* Ensures timesheets are accurately completed as required, Kronos/WFRinput and monitoring of attendance.

REQUIREMENTS:* Unencumbered current Colorado Registered Nurse license.* Current BLS certification.* Current ACLS certification.* Current PALS certification* Minimum of 3 years' experience in acute care nursing.* Minimum of 1 year experience in supervisory role.

WAGE: $45.72 - $68.58 per/hour
