Direct Hire Opportunity: Join our client, a reputable company with 29 years of industry expertise in designing and constructing advanced test machines for automotive and industrial component manufacturers.
Compensation Range: $100,000 - $115,000
Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Engineer with a specialization in hydraulics and pneumatics, you will be instrumental in designing advanced machines for functional production testing, laboratory testing, and specialized lean product assembly cells. Collaborating with teams of mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers, your primary responsibilities will involve engineering, design, and analysis at your workstation, complemented by hands-on machine assembly and debugging in a modern, clean shop floor environment.
Qualifications:
Proficient in AutoCAD.Demonstrated creativity and adherence to best design practices.Strong capabilities in debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.Solid understanding of PC computers and Microsoft Suite.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.BSME or equivalent degree.Minimum 3 years (5 to 15 years preferred) experience in designing/engineering hydraulic systems.Experience in general mechanical design, with familiarity in PLC and PC controls.Electrical design expertise is a plus.Responsibilities:
Design hydraulic circuits using AutoCAD for tooling clamping, actuation, and hydraulic systems for fluid flow, pressure, and volume measurement in product testing.Work closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, and software engineers to ensure safe, reliable, and repeatable operation of test machines.Develop Bills of Material (BOM) and collaborate with the purchasing department for material procurement.Assist machine builders in machine assembly and startup procedures.Maintain communication with Project Managers and clients as needed.Support the Service team in troubleshooting customer machines in the field.
