　　DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis is journey level work in the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, units, equipment, and peripheral devices within the Youth Development Center/Youth Forestry Camp system. Work is performed under the guidelines of federal, state and local laws and regulations pertaining to refrigeration and/or HVAC operations and maintenance, and established trade practices.

　　QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Experience and Training Requirements:Successful completion of the HVAC and Building Automation Technician trainee program (commonwealth title); orThree years of experience in the maintenance, repair, and installation of HVAC and refrigeration systems, units, and equipment including one year working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls; orAn equivalent combination of experience and training which includes one year working with commercial or industrial HVAC or refrigeration equipment and controls.

　　Special Requirements:All employees must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within 6 months of employment.This position requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
