Due to the stringent technical and quality requirements in which Hunt Valve's products are used, our facility requires a robust Quality Control Department. At Hunt Valve, we're seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to build upon this reputation with an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement.The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support Lean Manufacturing initiatives to drive Non-Conformance and Scrap ReductionInternalRMA and Vendor Scrap managementIssue Corrective Actions and track completion.Help cross functional teams discover root cause utilizing lean tools such as 5 whys and/or fishbone diagramsAssist cross functional teams in implementing corrective actionExternalWork with raw material suppliers to track root cause and corrective action measuresVisit suppliers to discuss quality concernsProvide weekly summaries of plant performancePurchasing Department SupportPerform quality system audits of potential suppliersAssist in the issuance of quarterly supplier scorecardsDiscuss finding with suppliersSupport Shop Inspection PersonalMetrologyProvide guidance on proper measurement tool usageAssist with blueprint interpretationAssist with GD&T interpretationSupport Calibration department administrationSupport CMM operatorsLead team training eventsWrite and revise procedures based on:Military SpecificationsContractual requirementsBest practicesQuality AssuranceReview certifications for accuracyReview Dimensional Inspection reports for accuracyQualification & Skills:

Working knowledge of quality system requirements, such as MIL-I-45208, ISO 9001 and/or AS9100Experience with Microsoft Office suite of software (e.g., Word, Excel, etc.)Lean 6 Sigma Certification a plusKnowledge of government contracts a plus```{=html}
