How You’ll Make an Impact
Commissioning of components and systems in line with commissioning programs and procedures that have been released
High-voltage test and if required partial discharge measurement of the complete installed and commissioned GIS
Schedule tracking performed based on existing commissioning time schedules and regular reporting on commissioning activities
Current and voltage transformer tests
SF6 gas quality measurements and calibration of sensors
Circuit breaker timing tests by using special software and test equipment
Clarification of all technical problems arising during the commissioning tests
As built documentation
Training of subordinate commissioning personnel
Conducting on-the-job training of internal or external employees and costumer’s personnel.
What You Bring
technical experience with commissioning process engineering systems in high-voltage projects
5+ years of experience
Experienced in intercultural situations
University degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
GIS knowledge pertaining to construction of electrical systems
Professional Training Course to perform commissioning work on SF6 gas insulated switchgear
Engineering knowledge (electrical/process engineering)
GIS knowledge pertaining to construction of electrical systems
technical experience with commissioning process engineering systems in GIS projects
Quality systems and requirement
International standards/regulations (DIN, VDE, IEC, ANSI, ASME)
International experience with commissioning and partial discharge measurement of GIS in Siemens/Siemens Energy projects worldwide
Certificate for installation and commissioning of Siemens Energy HV GIS systems
Certificate for High voltage testing
Certified for partial discharge measurements
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
