As the HR Manager with a focus on union labor relations, you will play a crucial role in fostering positive employee relations, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and driving initiatives to enhance workplace harmony. Key Responsibilities:
Union Labor Relations:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with union representatives.
Negotiate and administer collective bargaining agreements.
Provide guidance on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Handle grievance procedures and resolution.
Employee Relations:
Act as a liaison between management and employees to address concerns and foster open communication.
Conduct investigations into employee relations issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
Implement programs to promote employee engagement and satisfaction.
Strategic HR Management:
Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and retention strategies.
Training and Development:
Identify training needs related to union labor relations and implement relevant programs.
Provide guidance on career development opportunities for employees.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in human resources or similar field
Knowledge of HR software and strong familiarity of MS Office
Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Exemplary ethics, integrity, and standards
Extensive knowledge of HR policies, benefits administration, compensation and wage structure
1+ years of supervisory experience within human resources
5+ years in human resources
PHR/SPHR or other relevant certifications are preferred
Strong organization skills
Adept to problem-solving and conflict resolution
Ability to view issues with impartiality
A familiarity with the main ideas of employment law and EEOC regulations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
