Summary Supports policyand directs and coordinates human resources activities, such asemployment, compensation, employee relations, benefits, training,safety, and employee services by performing the following duties.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to...) Plans,organizes, and controls all activities of the department. Participatesin developing department goals, objectives, and systems. Analyzescompensation, monitors performance evaluation systems, and revises, asnecessary. Conducts recruitment efforts for exempt, nonexempt andtemporary employees. Writes and places advertising as needed. Ensurespolicies and procedures are compliant by reviewing legal requirements.Plans and conducts new employee orientation. Advises management inappropriate resolution of employee relations issues. Supervise staffingactivities including transfers, promotions, layoffs, recalls andterminations. Counsel\'s individual employees requesting advice relativeto company policy. Promotes a safe workplace and monitors worker\'s compcosts to show continued improvements. Maintain and help develop jobdescriptions, handbooks, policies, procedures, and training programs.Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications A Bachelor\'s Degree inHuman Resources or related field is required, along with five plus yearsof human resources experience; or any combination of education, trainingor experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of theposition. A PHR or SPHR certification is a plus. Must exhibit aprofessional manner in dealing with others and maintaining effectiveworking relationships with employees and outside agencies. The abilityto handle sensitive and confidential information and situations.Attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
