The HR Generalist administers policies relating to all phases of human resources activity by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities:
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
Maintain records of personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews and terminations.
Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
Administer employee leaves of absence.
Assist in the administration of employee benefit plans participation.
Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
Collaborate with the Human Resources team to develop effective recruitment and retainment strategies.
Event planning (Birthday Club, Team Member Appreciation Lunches, etc.).
Provide daily support to Team Members.
Conduct effective internal investigations with Team Members.
Create and distribute internal communications.
Assist with payroll processing (employee timesheets).
Process unemployment claims.
May indirectly supervise other employees in the Human Resources Department.
Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and two plus years related HR experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bilingual is a plus (Spanish/English).
Prefer candidates with broad HR experience from a manufacturing company.
Desire a positive, welcoming, “can-do” attitude.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of Human Resource Information Systems (Ultipro); Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Payroll systems (UltiPro).
Ability to train small or large groups of people.
