As a Human Resources Business Partner you will provide on-site, end-to-end support to union and non-union teams. You touch all facets of HR from developing community partnerships through exit interviews that includes, but are not limited to: the administration of Human Resources policies, procedures, labor relations, benefits, employment practices, onboarding, salary administration, training, recruiting, and other related functions.
What You'll Do
Provide effective and timely human resources support to multi-state work area (West/Southwest)
Provide recruiting support through career fairs and fostering relationships with critical partnerships
Communicate new, changing and existing policies and procedures, ensuring understanding and compliance
Address performance issues and conduct thorough investigations into claims that deviate from company policy
Supporting managers, work in partnership with Labor Relations on union issues
Support and lead change management initiatives
Advise on performance management, disciplinary actions and termination decisions
Assist administratively to process new hires, transfers, terminations, leaves of absences, etc.
Lead area exit surveys and utilize data to identify trends and implement solutions
Build alliances with local organizations that further strategic employment efforts
Assist with new hire orientation and onboarding to ensure a smooth integration into company culture
Partner with managers to support career development of all employees
Perform other responsibilities as requested by leadership
What You'll Have
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or similar field
5+ years HR of experience or equivalent education and work experience
Experience in supporting a unionized work environment
Knowledge of safety practices, Worker's Compensation and OSHA regulations
Experience navigating HRIS systems and familiarity with reporting tools such as Excel and Power BI
Experience in forming strong partnerships with key stakeholders to drive initiatives forward without authority
Experience influencing others without authority

Work is performed in a typical indoor office environment
Flexibility to work various schedules and stay late when necessary with little or no notice
