In Australia and New Zealand, we operate the iconic retail and eye care brands: Sunglass Hut, OPSM, Ray-ban and Laubman & Pank.
As our generalist Human Resources Business Partner (Retail) located in Sydney you report directly to the HR Manager (Retail) and will work across the full suite of HR capabilities. You will play an integral role within the wider HR team by engaging and partnering with our Field Management Teams within our OPSM, Sunglass Hut & Oakley businesses. You will deliver on varied HR projects with a hands-on approach, you will deliver best in class employee experiences, and advocate a positive and engaged environment whilst operating with authenticity, creativity and proactivity.
This position is a 12 month maternity leave contract working full time Monday- Friday, commencing early March.
Requirements for Success
Partner with our Field Management Teams to provide coaching, support and drive the people agenda for our stores to ensure that our teams and individual's reach their full potential
Cultivate the employee experience by implementing key employee retention, engagement and performance initiatives
Recommend, scope and implement projects to improve all stages of the employee lifecycle
Provide leadership, counsel and best practice information in areas of recruitment, employee relations, performance management, grievances, talent development and compliance with a commercial perspective
Use relevant reporting tools to provide recommendations and insights to Field Management Team to influence and enhance operational performance
Drive a positive culture by being an ambassador of the EssilorLuxottica values
Provide advice on policy and processes, actively collaborating with the broader HR team where required
Provide timely and accurate advice on recruitment needs
Ensure internal mobility is promoted to encourage career movement and identify talent for mobility and progression to the Talent Acquisition Team
Maintain awareness of current employment trends and share information as is relevant to the business
Identify needs and collaborate on development programs and implementation in conjunction with Talent Development
Be an advocate of reward and recognition programs to ensure they are adopted and used appropriately
Actively promote the Employee Assistance Program
Skills & Experience
Solid HR knowledge with a passion for ER
Have high integrity, understanding confidentiality and discretion
Be an engaging communicator and a great team member who rapidly builds relationships of trust
Work autonomously within a fast-paced retail environment whilst maintaining a high level of attention to detail
Proven experience in providing full end to end HR generalist services, with a passion for employee engagement and partnering with your stakeholders ideally within the retail industry
Strong, proven understanding of EAs, awards, employment contracts and HR life cycle processes and policies
Proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities with a positive outlook
Demonstrated project management experience
Advanced level of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Formal education in Human Resources or similar
