Summary Fort Shafter Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) Human Resources Office is looking for a motivated individual to join their team, as a HR Assistant, NF-203-03 Responsibilities Performs a wide variety of technical support, focused primarily in the areas of recruitment and staffing. Coordinates with management officials to recruit for position vacancies. Creates and posts vacancy announcements. Rates resumes for qualifications, hiring preference/priority criteria and other job-related criteria; refers qualified candidates to management for consideration. Responds to applicant and management inquiries on procedures such as application procedures, application statuses, criteria used in qualifications decisions. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications 1. Possess six (6) months of work experience in a human resources profession which demonstrates the capability to perform a variety of recruitment functions, such as posting vacancy announcements and rating applicants for qualifications and eligibility. 2. Possess experience utilizing an automated recruitment and staffing system (i.e. USA Staffing, Avue, Resumix, PeopleSoft, etc. 3. Possess prior experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) The experience and ability listed above must be reflected on your resume to be considered eligible for this position. Highly Preferred: In addition to the qualifications listed above, applicants will possess prior work experience in a NAF Human Resources Office in a recruitment and placement capacity. Applicants that meet Highly Preferred criteria will be referred to management for consideration first.
