About HRE Fraternity & Sorority Life Property Manager

  Student Affairs & Inclusive Excellence (SAIE) is the central studentaffairs division of the University of Denver. SAIE includes Housing andResidential Education, Student Engagement, Fraternity and Sorority Life,Health and Counseling, Inclusion & Equity Education, Disability ServicesProgram, Cultural Center, Access & Transitions, Learning EffectivesProgram, Veterans Services, Student Outreach and Support, Student Rights& Responsibilities, Budget, Operations and Division Resources, NewStudent and Family Programs, Community and Driscoll Commons.

Housing and Residential Education strives for acommunity that supports academic achievement and success, personal growthand development, a respectful and inclusive environment which promotesdiversity, promotes community service, and fosters leadership developmentand an engaged staff and student.

  Position Summary

  Each Property Manager holds a 20 hour per week, academic year appointment(August 21, 2023, to June 30, 2024) with Housing & ResidentialEducation and reports directly to the Associate Director of Facilities &Dining, or otherwise designated supervisor, while supporting the HouseCorporation for the chapter with whom the Property Manager resides.

  The Property Manager shares the responsibility for the operation of aco-curricular facility in which they strive to promote inclusive communities.The Property Manager is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of thechapter facility, in conjunction with the House Corporation, to ensurethat the Chapter House meets University standards regarding health and safetyexpectations.

  This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1000 hours in a calendar year.

  Essential Functions

  There are unique aspects of each Property Manager position at the Universityof Denver. Each House Property Manager must meet with the House Corporation toreview those aspects of the positions that are unique to that chapter house.Each Property Manager is expected to fulfil the following responsibilities,in addition to others that may be assigned throughout the year:

  For Housing & Residential Education:

  Be familiar with the student engagement platform Crimson Connect fornecessary administrative tasksParticipate in University sponsored, semi-annual trainingAttend monthly Property Manager Meetings with Housing & ResidentialEducationBe knowledgeable of how students can access University services andopportunitiesAdhere to all rules set forth by the house corporation and Housing &Residential Education in the living space except for having alcohol in theirliving space if they are 21+ years oldParticipate in trainings and development to build necessary competenciesServe in a primary on-call rotation with the other HRE hired PropertyManagers for the DU-Managed fraternity & sorority life propertiesServe as the primary advocate for the University of Denver, specificallyHousing & Residential EducationFacility Management

  Work closely with House Corporation, the Chapter Advisor, the AssociateDirector of Facilities & Dining, and the Associate Director of Fraternityand Sorority Life.

  Coordinate necessary work orders for the facility, in conjunction with theUniversity's Department of Facility Management, the House Corpora ion,Associate Director of Facilities & Dining, and the Associate Director ofFraternity and Sorority Life.Liaise with Campus Safety, Pioneer ID Office, and ITManage the technical aspects of the key inventory, card access, andoutside door access to those facilities with appropriate technologyAlong with the Housing & Residential Education Office, facilitate thecheck in/out process, damages process, auditing placements, charges,applications and entering the bookings of new students into StarRez for allFSLProvide monthly reports, including life safety issues, work orderrequests, and overall state of the facility, to Housing & ResidentialEducation and to the House CorporationAssist Student Chapter House Manager in:

  Conducting bi-weekly walk-throughs of the facility

  Submitting work orders in a timely fashion and following up with responsibleparties

  Be present for all Facility and Campus Safety inspections by the University

  Be educated on the rules and regulations of the University of Denver StudentCode of Conduct, Fraternity and Sorority Life Risk Management Policy, theinter/national organization, and state, local and federal laws as theypertain to the facility
