　　Role Purpose:

　　To ensure the availability and functionality of all the Windows Server systems whether hosted on premise or in the cloud.

　　To ensure the security of equipment, confidentiality of data and the timely provision of relevant production services.

　　Work with our business partners to understand their requirements and deliver services that support business growth, operations and cost efficiencies.

　　Systems Administration - Technical Skill:

　　· Microsoft Windows server (2008, 2012, 2016, 2022) Installation, Configuration, Troubleshooting

　　· Microsoft Active Directory administration and scripting

　　· Management of Microsoft Windows Server & Services hosted at AWS, GCP and Azure.

　　· DNS, DHCP, Windows Cluster - administration

　　· MS Windows Monitoring tools (SCOM, NewRelic etc), configuration, analysis

　　· Group Policy setup and troubleshooting

　　· Powershell scripting and troubleshooting

　　· Microsoft Windows Patching via SCCM, Shavlik etc

　　· Server virus protection

　　· User Account Administration

　　· Windows File Share Administration

　　· Network troubleshooting

　　· Basic knowledge in Server Hardware, System Security, Print server management, Okta Administration

　　· Basic knowledge in VMware ESXi, VMware vSphere, VMware vCenter Server

　　· Usage of Service Management Tools like ServiceNow

　　Responsibilities:

　　· Implement, document and maintain technology solutions in response to business needs and deliver systems to agreed delivery dates and business requirements.

　　· Assist in reducing operating costs through consolidation, leveraging of existing Infrastructure or right sizing.

　　· Confer with management on open issues, potential problems, priorities and projects that affect the timely completion of projects or delivery of services

　　· Ensure appropriate system and user security for both equipment and confidentiality of data

　　· Maintain the server configuration database and server documentation.

　　· Perform fault diagnosis and resolution and undertake root cause analysis of problems where required.

　　· Provide compute support across various technologies and services including Microsoft Windows Server & Services, AWS, GCP and Azure

　　· Participate in the provision of 24 x 7 x 365 server support (on call)

　　· Escalate issues to the Reporting Manager

　　· Respond to incidents and service requests raised via the ticketing system

　　· Maintain relationships with supported business units, stakeholders, contractors, and third-party vendors.

　　· Identify opportunities to automate server build, configuration and deployment processes.

　　· Collaborate with global colleagues to deliver efficient and standardised services.

　　· Communicate and document plans, procedural and technical information

　　· Maintain current and relevant technical information

　　Experience & Skills and Knowledge

　　· Minimum 5 years’ experience in Technical/Server operations

　　· Minimum 2 years’ experience in supporting cloud infrastructure and services

　　· Ability to converse with the business in their language and translate the customer requirements into technology terminology when required

　　· Ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently

　　· Demonstrated ability to think laterally while identifying problems and developing creative solutions

　　· Demonstrated skills in deploying and managing compute services in various cloud environments.

　　· Excellent skills and understanding of on premise server infrastructure and storage.

　　· Possesses excellent problem-solving skills, is analytical and self-motivated. Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.

　　· Ability to plan and manage Change in the production environment in order to minimise disruption whilst keeping both business and IT management informed.

　　· Ability to identify tasks which should be automated and then write tools to automate them.

　　· Able to work under pressure
