About HR Project Manager

  Financial Partner Credit Union, recognized as the Top Place to Work by the Orange County Register, the Best Credit Unions to Work For by American Banker, and Best Credit Unions in California by Forbes, is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated individual with a proven track record of success to join our Human Resources team as a HR Project Manager at our Costa Mesa corporate office.

  PURPOSE OF JOB:

  This position performs professional work overseeing a range of functions related to human resources administration, onboarding, policy implementation, employment law compliance, operations, recruiting, recognition and projects. This position also serves as a technical point-of-contact for ensuring data integrity, reporting, and process improvement opportunities.

  ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Serves as administrator for FPCU Policy, Standard, and Procedure tool (PolicyTech). Responsible for ensuring all departments have reviewed assigned policies and standards.

  Responsible for the administration of NMLS licenses for required Partners.

  Responsible for filing of Manage Business Entity Endorsements for Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI).

  Manages projects and process improvement, including applying change management experience to facilitate movement to new levels of quality.

  Recommends process improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy, which must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation.

  Promotes proactive approaches using the company's HRIS to solve business needs/problems, while also enhancing the understanding and acceptance of the HRIS capabilities.

  Provides technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to HRIS users.

  Manages the development and maintenance of the Human Resources sections of both the intranet and ADP, particularly recognition, wellness, and company information.

  Serve as primary contact for third party administrators. Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, investigate discrepancies and provide information in non-routine situations

  Help develop, draft, and distribute policies and procedures which include Partner Handbook.

  Assure compliance of all employment/labor laws notices at all company locations and intranet.

  Ensures that company and employees maintain compliance with state regulations of SAFE Act by managing individual filings, renewals, and terminations.

  Assists, as needed, in sourcing and screening applicant resumes and/or scheduling interviews.

  Assist with onboarding and new hire integration via ADP.

  Assists in coordinating new partner orientation for new hires.

  Perform administrative tasks such as employee file setup/maintenance as well as Partner Action Forms (PAF) for transfers, promotions, etc.

  Oversee the maintenance of employee personnel files, I-9 forms and filing.

  Manages employee communication and feedback through such avenues as suggestion programs (https://www.thebalancecareers.com/harness-the-power-of-an-employee-suggestion-program-1918931) and employee satisfaction surveys (https://www.thebalancecareers.com/employee-satisfaction-1918014) .

  Serves as the point of contact for recognition and rewards software and coordinates administration of recognition programs including communications, promotions and tracking awards and points earned.

  Promote employee engagement activities by analyzing engagement surveys, recommending action plans, and partnering with employees at all levels to drive action of plans.

  Prepares periodic reports for management, as necessary or requested.

  Support HR operational ad hoc projects as identified.

  Assist with corporate event planning.

  Assist with company engagement and wellness projects.

  Serves as back up for HR processes

  OTHER DUTIES

  Assist co-workers with general HR projects which may include leaves of absence, benefits, payroll, and compensation.

  Working knowledge to perform as back-up for other positions in the Human Resources.

  Performs other related duties as assigned.

  EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of five years’ experience in a human resources function or equivalent.

  Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

  Knowledge of standard HRIS applications.

  Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations.

  Excellent oral and written communication skills

  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  The pay range for this position is listed above. Our pay ranges are designed to allow for candidates with various levels of experience and skill to be considered, and to allow room for growth to be achieved in a role over time. Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their individual combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and education as well as internal equity.
