AMERISAFE is seeking a detail-oriented, productivity driven professional to add to our Excellence Team based in DeRidder, La. The HR Manager will oversee processes related to recruiting, training and employee relations activities. Making recommendations on employee development across the company, developing and presenting company related training, including supervisor training. Developing data for management reporting.
QualificationsMinimum of a two-year degree in business; human resources preferredThree or more years of experience in human resources requiredAbility and capability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the companyAbility to appropriately handle sensitive topics in training sessionsAnalytical and critical thinking skillsStrong computer skills with knowledge of ,or the ability to learn, specific AMERISAFE systemsValid drivers license with acceptable driving history and reliable transportationFoster the AMERISAFE culture by embracing the pillars of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and serviceResponsibilitiesOversee recruitment and onboarding of new hiresPartner with leadership to understand talent needs and succession planning to creating strategic plans to support employee recruitment, development and retentionComplete 90-day follow-ups with new hires to determine success of onboarding and gauge longevityPrepare reports as necessary to report human resources and payroll metrics for upward reporting, including reports to the Board of DirectorsOversee learning and developmentResearch and coordinate regular quarterly and monthly training and development activities for employees and supervisors, including courses that will provide professional certifications, designations, etc.Oversee administration of online training platform(s), including assigning and tracking course completionAssist department leaders in researching training, certifications, designations, etc. as requestedDevelop, coordinate and conduct training programs as requested, including supervisor training on interviewing, performance evaluations, corrective action, etc.Assist department leaders with performance management, making recommendations on corrective action, using the companys progressive discipline policy and previous performance as a referenceRepresent AMERISAFE internally and externally as requiredFoster the AMERISAFE culture by embracing the pillars of consistency, focus, frugality, ownership and servicePerforms other duties as assigned
