  Job Description

  At Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, our financial operations thrive with the commitment of Colleagues who model our values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Empowerment. You are a multitasker and are able to work independently performing a wide range of credit & accounts receivable tasks and are able to support other members of the team. 

  Reporting to the Director of Credit & Group Billing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  Coordinate interdepartmentally as it relates to group and guest issues

  Participate in training activities to improve knowledge + skills

  Communicate well with all clients and guests, anticipate and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner

  Monitor, supervise and prepare month-end balance sheet account reconciliation

  Prepare forecast vs. actual group commissions and communicate variance to Director of Finance

  Prepare income audit reports one day weekly

  Prepare and generate timely group, catering and wedding billing and process payment

  Inspect all in-house accounts to ensure adherence to resort’s credit policy and assist with collection efforts as necessary

  Monitor accounts receivable as required

  Managing and safeguarding cash for the organization. This involves receiving, counting, and disbursing cash accurately and securely.

  Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

  Assist in the month end reporting and procedures

  Perform filing and administrative tasks

  Follow departmental policies and procedures

  Follow all safety policies

  Other duties as assigned

  Qualifications

  5+ years in hospitality accounting or equivalent experience required

  Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications or relevant computer applications required

  University/College degree in a related discipline an asset

  Excellent communication and organizational skills

  Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities

  Ability to multi task in a high speed environment

  Attention to detail a must

  Ability to adhere to deadlines

  Highly responsible & reliable

  Ability to work cohesively as part of a team

  Remain calm and courteous at all times

  Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):        

  Frequent sitting throughout shift

  Occasional lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs

  Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing
