About the Role
Responds to employee questions regarding pre-employment screening, onboarding, human resource policies and procedures, etc. Maintains and distributes current employee information, policy and procedure manuals and other communications. Involved in recruiting and onboarding of Production Associates. Responsible for filing of documents into Personnel and Medical filing system. Assists human resource department staff with projects as assigned.
Your Responsibilities
Work is entry level and performed under general supervision. Work involves independent decision making on short to moderate-term issues/planning with guidance furnished on unusual matters.
Assists with shop floor recruiting activities. Processes applications, completes pre-screening and on-site interviews. Prepares offers and corresponding new hire documentation. Schedules orientation
Creates New Employees files, assist will all filing of documents into personnel and medical filing system. Assist in the moving current files in to digitize filing system.
Assist with production job posting, typing of posting, posting on posting board in the plant and communicating new job awards
Provides support to one or more functional areas of Human Resources. Processes a variety of complex information including, but not limited to, employment, pay change, job posting, safety and environmental.
Maintains and distributes current employee information, policy and procedure manuals and other communications. Identifies and corrects inaccurate information.
Assists human resource department staff with projects as assigned.
Assists in development and implementation of quality procedures, work instructions and standards. Understands Magna Mirrors Holland’s quality policy and assures compliance with ISO/IATF systems.
Who we are looking for
Performs all work in compliance with Magna Mirrors – Holland Mirrors Safety and Environmental policies and procedures as well as all Federal, State and local laws. Understand the importance of conformance with all safety and environmental procedures of the environmental and safety management systems, including emergency response.
• Report any unsafe condition or action to his or her supervisor.
• Report any work-related injury to his or her supervisor within 8 hours.
• Never operate a machine or equipment until trained in the operating procedures, hazards, and safeguards and has been assigned to do so by the employer.
• Never remove, displace, destroy, or carry off any safeguard or interfere with the use by any other person.
• Use required personal protective equipment or devices where required.
• Understand your responsibility to the environmental programs, including ISO14001. Understand the actual or potential environmental consequences, when deviating from specified work instructions.
• Attend Environmental, Health and Safety training as required.
Your preferred qualifications
In the process of obtaining Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or other degrees focused on employee/organizational development and communication. Must be able to understand Company security issues handle matters of confidentiality discreetly.
Demonstrated desire and ability to advance in the Human Resource Department.
Demonstrated ability to use and understand software including word processing, database, and spreadsheet applications in order to perform job duties and responsibilities. Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Demonstrated organizational skills in order to prioritize programs and projects and deal with different tasks at one time.
Superior accuracy skills.
