About HR Generalist - Jr

Description If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including managing employee relations, recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, and updating the employee handbook.

Major responsibilities

Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite

Develop templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook

Conduct employee performance reviews, including assisting with annual reviews, appraising pay scales, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)

Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures

Responsible for operations tasks for the HR department

Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters

Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations

Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews

Design /or support a recruitment plan according to operational and business projections

Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations

Work with other members of the HR department to manage the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees

Engage with upper management, employees, and third-party vendors Requirements - Prior HR Generalist experience

Experience with full cycle recruiting

Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)

The responsibilities of this position will require you to be highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivityEagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects

B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis

Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus

Skilled in technology applications and software, as well as social media platforms

Excellent written and verbal business skills

Strong understanding local, state and federal laws
