Description
If you love Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. In this role, you will perform various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations. This role is a full-time direct hire in Des Plaines, IL.
Responsibilities
Compare local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Manage digital and physical files for employees and their documents
Evaluate employee performance
Educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
Employee relations, including engaging employees and coordinating sensitive conversations
Work with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employee
Requirements
B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Excellent written and verbal business skills
Proficient with office computer applications and software, as well as social media platforms
Able to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and to take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Prior experience implementing and coordinating Open Enrollment is a plus
Experience with full cycle recruiting
Experience using Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws
Prior HR Generalist experience preferred
