  Job Description Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services (PRCS) is seeking qualified applicants for a Human Resources Generalist. We are a talented, service-oriented team that positively impacts people's daily lives through our parks and programs. Under the general direction of the PRCS HR Manager, the HR Generalist will be responsible for various HR functions in support of the department. This position requires strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.

  We are currently hiring at the following locations:

  PRCS, 742 Miller Drive, Leesburg, VADuties include, but are not limited to:

  Assist HR staff with the review and processing of routine hire paperwork and other personnel actions, payroll documents, and FOIA requests.

  Draft salary offers and perform other tasks in support of the hiring process.

  Prepares and processes employee actions for the department.

  Drafts standard disciplinary documents in compliance with the Loudoun County Human Resources policies.

  Serves as a liaison to Human Resources Department.

  Answers staff questions on County and Department policies.

  Provides guidance to departmental staff on employee relations and disciplinary procedures.

  Assists with employee ADA accommodations, extended leave and FMLA requests.

  Assists with annual performance appraisal process and assists managers throughout the process.

  Provides assistance to the HR Manager to streamline and improve internal departmental processes, provides automated reporting for various departmental needs and goals, including data collection, report generation, and data analysis.

  Supports day-to-day operations of the division and with special projects while maintaining confidentiality.

  Salary commensurate with experience

  Job Requirements

  Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and one (1) year of related work experience in the assigned area; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  Special Requirements

  PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  Experience with Oracle and/or NEOGOV.

  PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.

  Supervisory experience preferred.

  Post Conditional Offer Contingencies

  Criminal background, credit checks, and DMV records checks required.

  Valid driver's license
