Overview
The HR Compliance Specialist will assist the Human Resources department in carrying out various programs and procedures for all Agency employees, which include ensuring compliance with external agency regulations, responding to program requests and questions, maintaining HRIS database and employee files.

Annual Salary
$50,000 - 54,000
Responsibilities
Updating HR database with employee change requests and processing applicable paperwork.
Assist with the on-boarding process for new employees which include both pre-hire and post-hire processes. This includes processing requests with the State Central Registry.
Ensure all annual requirements are up to date (annual physical, driver’s license)
Monitor and review OMEG no-hire report.
Monitor and update approve drivers list, I-9 requirements.
Assist with the annual performance review process.
E nsure that employee files and records are maintained in accordance with legal requirements and Agency policies and procedures.
Audit new hire files to ensure compliance with State, Federal and oversight agencies.
Assist with the preparation and communication of internal and external correspondence.
Prepare department files for audits when requested
Make photocopies, fax documents and perform other clerical functions.
Provide coverage at the Receptionist desk during lunch periods.
Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resource management, OR 1-2 years' experience in the HR field, OR any similar combination of education and experience.
Proficiency with HR information systems (ADP) preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and other MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to build rapport, establish relationships, influence and partner with people across all levels of the organization.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
