　　The role you’ll contribute:

　　This is an advanced level position that performs all HIM clerical job functions and processes rejected orders, suspension, and/or duplicate and unlinked medical record numbers in the electronic medical record and may assist with release of information requests.

　　Accurately processes rejected orders in a timely manner and re-assigns to the correct provider to authenticate electronically in the EMR and assists with physician suspension accordingly.

　　Processes duplicate and unlinked medical records in a timely manner to ensure the integrity of the master patient index in the EMR.

　　Ability to perform all HIM clerical job functions according to qualitative and quantitative standards and fill in based upon business demands.

　　Ability to communicate well verbally and written, stay organized and demonstrate effective time management skills.

　　Processes release of information requests in a timely manner in accordance to regulatory requirements and tracks requests and/or disclosures in the designated computer system.

　　Qualifications

　　The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

　　EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

　　· Education: High School Diploma or GED

　　· Experience: 2 years of health information management experience in an acute care setting or progress towards a RHIT, RHIA or progress towards a healthcare or business college degree program with relevant related experience; experience with the electronic health record (EHR) and health

　　· information systems and applications

　　EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:

　　· Associate’s degree
