HIRING FOR DAY SHIFT SUPERVISORS!!!

We are seeking experienced Medical Technologist Supervisors to join our team in Brooklyn, NY. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of technologists in either a microbiology or general laboratory setting. The ideal candidates will have a strong experience in medical technology, prior supervisory experience, and a commitment to ensuring high-quality laboratory operations. These positions are for day shifts with no weekends, offering a great work-life balance.

Responsibilities (Microbiology or Generalist Supervisor):

Supervise a team of 8-10 full-time medical technologists in either microbiology or general laboratory settings.

Manage daily operations, including scheduling, workflow, troubleshooting, SOPs, and administrative tasks.

Oversee the performance of qualitative and quantitative tests on clinical specimens.

Maintain a strong understanding of laboratory equipment and troubleshooting protocols.

Conduct regular training and mentoring of staff to ensure compliance with testing procedures and safety standards.

Review and update policies and procedures as necessary to align with best practices and regulatory standards.

Lead efforts in quality assurance, accuracy, and efficiency across all lab processes.

Essential Skills (Microbiology or Generalist Supervisor):

New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist License or valid permit issued by NYSDOE Clinical Laboratory Technology.

At least 1 year of prior supervisory experience in a medical laboratory setting (microbiology or generalist).

Strong proficiency in clinical lab testing, benchwork, and troubleshooting.

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field with 4 or more years of clinical lab experience.

Solid understanding of laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and reagents.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Additional Skills Qualifications:

ASCP certification preferred but not required, provided the candidate holds a valid NYS MLT license.

Experience in statistical analysis, quality control, and policy revision.

Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.

Work Environment:

This role operates in a modern laboratory setting equipped with state-of-the-art technology and facilities.

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with day shifts (8am-4pm or 9am-5pm) and no weekend shifts.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $150000.00/yr.

Health Benefits are effective one month from your date of hire if you are scheduled to work at least 16 hours per week. To ensure coverage, it is required that you make your benefits selections within the 30 days following your date of hire. If your selections are not made on-line within the 30-day period, the Medical Center will assign benefits (default) coverage.
