　　We are currently looking for an exceptional PYP Computer science/STEM teacher from August 2024.

　　Qualifications requested  

　　A relevant bachelor’s degree and teacher qualification from an accredited, state-approved programme. 

　　Right to work in Italy (EU passport or valid Italian work VISA).

　　Immaculate police check(s).

　　Contract Duration  

　　Fixed-term, with the possibility for extension.

　　Experience  

　　A minimum of two years of recent and relevant experience in a comparable school environment. 

　　Relevant teaching experience within the subject area(s), preferably in an IB school. 

　　Specialist skills & knowledge. 

　　Proven ability to plan and deliver innovative inquiry-based lessons that engage students and address their diverse learning needs. 

　　Demonstrated ability to use digital tools and resources effectively to enhance learning.     

　　Planning and organisational skills. 

　　Fluent level English: reading, speaking, writing (Common European Framework of Reference - CEFR level C1-C2).

　　Job description - Classroom teaching responsibilities 

　　Provide coaching, professional learning, demonstrations and workshops for staff and parents

　　Be a positive, ambitious and creative tech-user and promoter

　　Work closely with colleagues across the school to develop our overall capabilities as a group

　　Be ready to learn, keeping abreast of developments across edtech and beyond so that our school is at the leading edge of T&L

　　Collaborate with Coordinators to identify possible opportunities for digital technology and innovation to be used and developed in the classroom;

　　Collaborate with the Head of Programme and Head of School to identify needs (resources, training, staff) for development of digital innovation in the schools.

　　Job description - Team responsibilities 

　　Work collaboratively with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, unit planning, assessment development and improvement programs. 

　　Openly exchange ideas, expertise, resources and tools with colleagues and within the subject areas to improve teaching within the school. 

　　Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the appropriate curricula and current teaching trends, digital tools and developments.

　　Job description - School-wide responsibilities 

　　Be an academic and pastoral mentor to a group of students. 

　　Foster and promote a sense of pride and positive community spirit among staff and students. 

　　Undertake cover lessons when required. 

　　Assist with marking and evaluating placement exams when necessary. 

　　Compulsory attendance at meetings both during and outside of school hours including: school meetings, staff meetings, subject area meetings, interdisciplinary meetings, supervising student breaks, home-room activities & other meetings which are required by the school. 

　　Complete supervision duties according to the calendar (possible duties include lunch supervision, drop-off or departure duty, uniform checks, bus supervision, break supervision).
