　　Job Summary

　　The Heavy Equipment Operator will operate a CAT Motor Grader / Fine-Grade machine and be responsible for properly operating the motor grader/blade to perform lime, flex base, and general dirt work operations. This position is for our IH10 - Graytown Rd project in Marion, TX.

　　Essential Functions

　　Follow all required company and general safety rules, policies, and guidelines

　　Rough and finish grade using a motor grader and blue tops or electronic grade/machine control GPS

　　Ability to read and understand cut and fill stakes

　　Perform excavation of lime, flex base, and general sub-grade operations

　　Required Skills & Experience

　　At least 10 years experience as a finish blade operator with 5 years experience in heavy highway equipment

　　Physical ability to perform assigned tasks

　　Physical ability to walk on uneven terrain

　　Must be able to climb the equipment’s ladder to reach the operator's seat

　　General operator skills

　　Extensive knowledge of operating a CAT Motor Grader

　　Previous experience with grade control systems

　　Other heavy equipment experiences preferred: excavator, backhoe, loader, dozer, etc.

　　Knowledge of finishing roadways

　　Valid driver license
