Ziegler CAT has an opening for a full-time, experienced Welder to perform repairs and fabricate heavy construction and mining equipment. We are looking for a dedicated employee with excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to help deliver top notch service as a mechanic to our rapidly growing customer base.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Perform welding and fabricationMaintain equipment such as dressing welding electrodes, oiling/greasing, machine settings, changing of tooling, and other adjustments as necessaryRespond to customer needs in a positive, supportive, and timely manner to ensure maximum value for work performedMaintains a clean and safe work area, adhere to all safety proceduresFollows standard operating proceduresCleans and organizes equipmentAttends formal trainingProvides assistance to all other levels of technicians as needed in regard to troubleshooting repairsPerforms other duties as assigned/requiredMaintains paperwork documentation of work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner on a daily/job basisDocuments labor, addition of segments, assuring that work order can be closed and billed as communicated with the customerPositively interacts with manager and team members to satisfy customer needsCommunicates effectively with customers, both internal and externalQualifications:

　　High school diploma/GED and several years of comparable shop mechanicexperienceTrade, TechnicalSchool certification or minimum 2 years experience weldingAble to operate spot welder, arc welder, plasma TIG welder, MIG welder, cutting torch, power grinder, power sander, hand-tools, bandsaw, drills, temporary fixturing devices, and other metal-fabrication equipmentExperience with gauging and measuring preferredAble to read dimensional blue printsPersonal attributes: attention to detail, efficiency, problem solving, planning and organization, team playerWritten and verbal communication skillsBasic computer skillsOwn mechanic tool setAbility to maintain safe and clean work environmentThis role is deemed safety-sensitive and will be subject to a drug test as a pre-employment requirementMinimum Physical Requirements:

　　Push/pull up to 50 lbsLift/carry up to 60 lbsLift bulky objectsStanding, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, supine overhead reaching, crawling, bin lift, high steps, fingering/grasping - able to use bolt box.Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor.
