The Position
This opening is for a Health/Human Services Professional Trainee (Underfill for Social Services Program Specialist 2) within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) Managed Care and Quality Assurance unit, in Carson City NV. This position will be responsible for assisting in the procurement of a contracted vendor and the development of contract language for a statewide managed care delivery model. The position will assist the unit's efforts to establish necessary workgroups, public workshops, and ensure the statewide managed care Request for Proposal (RFP) draft is reviewed and approved by Department administration prior to posting. This position will support the team lead for the expansion with coordinating readiness reviews, participating in command center meetings, and awarding contracts to selected statewide managed care organization (MCO). Post implementation, the position will support the unit in reviewing, coordinating, and performing contract monitoring duties of MCO vendors, and ensuring compliance with state and federal law and contract requirements.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, early childhood development, psychology, public health, special education, nursing, or other discipline directly related to the field in which the applicant is to be trained; OR two years of journey level technical or paraprofessional experience in the field in which the applicant is to be trained. (NOTE: some jobs strictly require a bachelor's degree).Special Notes
