HGA is seeking a Healthcare Principal who strategically guides the pursuit of work and is accountable for the successful execution of that work. As a Healthcare Principal, you must have a strong regional or national reputation through the portfolio of work you have led as a thought leader. A Healthcare Principal builds market presence strategically and fosters original insight into their clients' needs through the collective talents of their teams. Each of their projects must strike the right balance of financial performance, design excellence and successful execution. As a Healthcare Principal at HGA, you will be responsible for the annual generation of $3 million to $6 million in net service revenue (NSR) at an agreed appropriate level of profitability. Principals will work with their Market Sector leader to establish goals specific to their marketplace. In this role you will: Effectively communicates HGA's Strategic Point of View to both clients and team members. Leads the development of new business working with business developers, marketing support, thought leaders, Design Principals, and Market Sector Leaders to position HGA for the best projects in their markets and/or regions. Leads in identifying strategic targets, prepositioning, writing proposals and designing the interview. Collaborates with other Principals within and outside of their Sector to leverage the firm's collective expertise in the pursuit and execution of large and/or high-profile projects. Leads the strategic relationships with HGA's clients from marketing through project delivery and is accountable for client satisfaction. Establishes, communicates and monitors project goals with the project team. Leads the project team through an open, collaborative design and delivery process. Proactively engages other team members so that their contributions can be fully optimized. Mentors and coaches other leaders and staff in their markets, offices and practice groups. Negotiates contracts, leads the preparation and approval of budgets and schedules for projects and monitors project performance through appropriate metrics on at least a monthly basis. Collaborates with Project Managers in the preparation and updating of revenue projections and staffing needs for their projects. Monitors contracts, subcontracts, change orders, requests for additional services and other agreements so that each project is well run and risk is mitigated for both the clients and HGA. Manages timely invoicing and collections. Resolves any conflicts that arise with the clients and/or project teams in a proactive and professional manner. Exemplifies HGA's values through their behavior, including in their interactions with clients, consultants and staff. Represents HGA in the marketplace and design community through participation on boards, committees, authorship and speaking opportunities. You will need to have: Bachelor's degree in architecture, Master's degree preferred Architectural Licensure preferred LEED accreditation preferred but not required 20+ years of mid- to large-healthcare project experience Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp and other industry accepted software as well as Microsoft Office Suite products is needed Ability to work within a hybrid working situation supporting the Mid-West healthcare practice in person and in a remote situation. Salary Information: Actual compensation will be based upon work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Individuals in this role working more than 24 hours a week on a regular basis are eligible to participate in HGA's robust benefit programs which include an annual bonus and succes sharing bonus program, 401(k) guaranteed contribution, paid parental leave, medical, dental and life insurance plans as well as PTO and short- and long-term disability programs.
