  Job ID359440 LocationTwin Cities Job FamilyResearch-Support Full/Part TimeFull-Time Regular/TemporaryRegular Job Code8352P2 Employee ClassCivil Service About the Job About the Job: The 10,000 Families Study (10KFS) is led by multidisciplinary faculty in the University of Minnesota Schools of Medicine and Public Health and is closely integrated with the Masonic Cancer Center 10KFS is a growing multigenerational family cohort study of lifestyle, genetic, and environmental influences on health and disease across Minnesota. One of five awardees nationally, 10KFS is part of the Cohorts for Environmental Exposures and Cancer Risk (CEECR) grant program, which is funded by the National Cancer Institute through August 2027. As the Health Visits and Recruitment Coordinator with 10KFS, you will work closely with the Health Visits Specialist, the Research Engagement Director and other study staff to support health visit/data collection events and outreach activities. The ideal applicant will have strong organizational skills and dependability, the ability to work both independently and within a team, experience working with diverse populations, and interest in research. Job Responsibilities: Planning and Quality Improvement (10%): -Take part in ongoing planning meetings and communications with the study team to establish, implement, and improve data collection and recruitment processes. -Work in tandem with the 10KFS staff on ongoing operational planning, including troubleshooting, providing updates, responding to questions, and addressing needs that arise. Implementation (30%): -Set-up and take down family health visit and outreach event materials. -Attend and supervise all family health visits/data collection events. -Attend and participate in study outreach activities. -Travel to mobile/greater Minnesota health visit/outreach events as needed. -Assist the Health Visits Specialist with coordination of in-home health visits with the mobile phlebotomy company as needed. -Work with partners to coordinate delivery of samples collected remotely. Data, documentation, and materials management (15%): -Scan, upload, and store CRFs (Case Report forms) after each family health visit/data collection event. -Resolve Data Infrastructure staff query items after each family health visit/data collection event. -Assist with return of results to participants. Interaction with study participants and potential participants (45%): -Monitor and respond to queries in the study email, cell phone, and landline accounts. -Communicate with participants and resolve scheduling and other health visit/data collection events-related issues and questions via email, phone, on-site, and in the 10KFS database. -Work with the Health Visits Specialist to organize and staff in person health visits. -Work with the Research Engagement Director to organize and staff recruitment activities in the community. Qualifications All required qualifications must be included in the application materials Qualifications: Required: -Bachelor's (BS or BA) in a health-related field and 2 years of relevant experience, or a combination of related education and work experience to equal six years. -Fluency in written and spoken Spanish -Ability to work with both a diverse team and independently -Ability to work some evening and weekend hours. -Ability to travel within the Twin Cities metro area and greater Minnesota. Preferred: -Program planning and management skills. -Familiarity with REDCap and Box or similar secure data management system -Experience with research regulatory requirements -Experience working in a clinical setting or experience working in health research. -Experience interfacing with diverse patients or program/study participants.
