What is the job about?
Grundfos is seeking an experienced HS Specialist to join its EHS team. The Health & Safety Specialist will support Plant with implementation of Health and Safety regulations, group standards compliance and promoting best practice within Health and Safety.This position reports directly to the Divisional DBS EHS & Indjija Plant FEHS Senior Manager Serbia (Inđija).
Your main responsibilities :
Legal and other requirements: 25%
Responsible for monitoring and implementing all regulations in the field of safety and health at work, as well as other regulations that are recognized as requirements, such as Grundfos standards and requirements
Close cooperation with Production and daily support to them
Proactive approach in preventing incidents, and promoting Health Safety and Well-being Ambition
Document update and development: 25%
Develops procedures and provides support in developing guidelines for safe and healthy work in accordance with ISO45001
Introduction of procedures, instructions, and forms in the Integrated Management System in the field of safety and health at work and environmental protection
Responsible for the use of IMS in the performance of its tasks, as well as for the proper functioning of the Integrated Management System within the GMS under responsibility
Ensures that the work is performed in accordance with the procedures of environmental protection and safety and health at work
Responsible for certain tools within the Grundfos Production System
Regular risk assessment revision.
Support to other functions: 25%
Daily support of production, warehouse, maintenance, and other departments in terms of safety and health at work
Support during projects, transfers
Sharing best practice and knowledge sharing from other Plants.
HS trainings: 10%
Train new employees and other departments in understanding ISO45001, and other HS specialist trainings
Plans and schedules internal and external training on safety, health at work in cooperation with the human resources department
Registers and monitors all training related to safety and health at work
Trains production workers and other employees on standards related to safe work
Incident investigations: 5%
Responds to accidents at work or violations of safety and health requirements at work and takes corrective action to avoid similar cases using root cause analysis tools.
Take measures to prevent negative trends.
Analysis of accidents and cases in which an accident could occur and taking preventive measures.
Support to HS committee: 5%
Provides support to the Occupational Safety and Health Committee.Other: 5%
Collection and monitoring of data on safety and health at work.
Applies all measures of safety and health at work in everyday work.
Collects MSDS lists and ensures that only approved liquids are available in the company.
Communicates with labor inspection.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Organize HS institutes for equipment check, and other legal checks.
Your background :
Relevant bachelor or master degree – technical sciences
At least 2 years of experience within the health and safety area
Knowledge and expertise within ISO 45001
Advanced communication skills
Fluent English – oral and written.
