  Job Summary

  Provide PSEG Nuclear LLC Safety Program leadership by establishing and maintaining accountability for PSEG Nuclear

  Job Responsibilities

  Facilitate Safety Council meetings

  Coordinate and/or perform self-assessments of existing safety programs and processes

  Coordinate and/or perform accident investigations to determine causes and initiate corrective actions

  Develop and complete 30/60/90 day improvement plans to support the Corporate Health and Safety Improvement initiatives to reach and maintain top quartile status in Industrial Safety

  Provide performance measures, required corrective actions, and detailed analysis within required timeframes to support monthly reports to Senior Management

  Conduct/assist employee safety training.

  Must be able to work varying shifts to support plant evolutions.

  Job Specific Qualifications

  REQUIRED:

  Bachelors Degree in occupational health and safety or related field or

  In lieu of Degree 5 years equivalent work experience in Industrial safety commercial power plant.

  Documented industrial safety training including training in OSHA 1910, 1926, Industrial Hygiene, Respiratory protection.

  Demonstrated leadership skills in order to drive Health & Safety Program results.

  Must meet and maintain PSEG Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.

  DESIRED:

  Masters Degree in occupational health and safety or related field

  CSP - Certified Safety Professionals or ASP - Associate Safety Professionals

  Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) OSHT or CUST CUST - Certified Utility Safety Administrator certification preferred.

  5 years Direct industrial safety experience.

  Prior Supervisory experience.

  Prior Fire Service or Fire Protection experience.

  Minimum Years of Experience

  5 years of experience
