Job Summary:
This position functions as support/liaison to the Health and Wellness Administrator to assist with processing worker compensation insurance claims. Ensuring Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) documents are sent, received, and entered into the database. This position will also be responsible for filing, creating correspondence, writing reports, as well as tracking medical card certifications. Assisting with scheduling pre-employment and Department of Transportation physicals. This position may also assist with setting up trainings. Supports the Health and Wellness Administrator with special projects as needed.
Qualifications for this position consist of:
Six (6) months, or more of training beyond High SchoolOne (1) to Three (3) years of experience with FMLA processing, and worker compensation claims. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ensure FMLA documents are sent, received, and entered the database. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, review to determine eligibility and if the situation qualifies as FMLA.Responsible for filing, creating correspondence, writing reports, and tracking medical card certifications. Request medical certification as needed and account for intermittent and reduced schedule leaves.Maintains completed and accurate records of leave and accommodation requests in accordance with specified legal requirement and city policies.
